I adjusted the coloring in my chin as suggested in the first critique. I'm wondering what to do for the background. I originally had the dark blue (bottom left) but when I printed it, it looks really dark so I'm thinking about changing it. Here are some color options - let me know what you think!
This looks awesome! I love all the different tones that you used, it really helps to make it look very realistic.I think that the teal colored background looks really great, it helps to make everything stand out.
ReplyDeleteI like the turquoise background the most. It ties into the color of wrinkles on your shirt. You did an awesome job with the details in your portrait. Love it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the top left purple one! I think it makes the various colors in your shirt stand out and not look like reflections of your surroundings. All the colors you use are great. It reminds me of impressionistic work with all the colors that aren't actually there but make it look realistic despite that. It looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI like the top reddish-purple background. I think the teal background is too similar to your shirt wrinkles, and I think it really brings out the different tones in your face. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI like the darker background more personally, I think they go better with the coloring of the skin and hair. The teal is great too, it just makes the shadows and shading seem really dark. But your portrait is great, whatever you choose will work!
ReplyDeleteI like every pieces, but my favorite would be the one on the top left ( the reddish one), because it makes your work looks more realistic. It just looks awesome , nice work !
