Patricia Brooks - Monster Project

I plan to add the following:

  • Fur/hair
  • More angry features in face and skin folds around eyes
  • Mouth
  • Small water drops on web
**If the print is too dark I will have to adjust the color for more contrast. I plan on using glossy paper. What do you think?

  1. Creepy, I like it. I hate spiders too but couldn't bring myself to illustrate it. I love this but I would definitely bump up the contrast to you could see more detail, but not too much because the darkness is what makes it scary.

  2. The depth of the web works really well here. I agree with Hadiya, the spider looks good if it stays darker. It should come out fine on glossy paper.

  3. Your perception of deep is really good and the spider is illustrated incredibly but it might be too dark, I would suggest making the spider a dark brown to make it easier to see. Also I think that the words "Don't get caught up" should be read from top to bottom to make it easier or perhaps have it long the web horizontally so one can read it across the page.
