Very nice, the font works extremely well with the line weight of your illustration. I have mix feelings about the flowers on the left. I think your text and illustrations are strong enough without the flowers.
I think that this looks great, you have a really good start here. I will be interested to see what you add in terms of colors and details. I agree with Patricia, I don't think that you need the flowers along the side, I think that it distracts away from your illustrations and text.
One thing to think about is the color choice you would use. And to give it an extra vintage look, pastels or desaturated color palletes might help. It looks very clean and simple and I think its great that way, but maybe play with the position of the objects because the gnome's hat is fighting with the edge of the image. Good work.
